After dabbling in various crafts over the years, I was inspired to learn bead crochet after having seen a beautiful bracelet in 2006. I was captivated by its unique rope-like quality. Although I had been a weaver and also knew how to crochet and knit, I struggled to teach myself the technique but once I finally "got it" I was hooked!

Since then I've been passionate about crafting beautiful and unique beaded ropes of my own.  Each piece is an adventure from start to finish.  I begin by choosing fine materials, which include sterling silver and 14K gold filled beads, glass, semi-precious stone beads, and Swarovski pearls and crystals. After carefully choosing a combination of beads, I string them in a sequence onto a durable nylon thread.  The strung beads are then crocheted in the round and finished with a sterling silver or gold filled clasp. The finished work creates an illusion of weight while being pleasantly light and comfortable to wear.  My goal is to create jewelry which will endure in both style and function.

If you're interested in any of my work, I encourage you to visit The Clever Hand in Wellesley, MA, a wonderful craft cooperative that is owned and operated by local artisans. You may also email me at jemosher@comcast.net.

The photos I've posted to the site represent a sampling of my work. Most pieces may be duplicated and customized to your desired length although some designs are limited in availabilty. Bracelets and earrings are also available upon request.

It's important that you be happy with your handcrafted jewelry. Please read caring for your jewelry to find out how to keep your "rope" looking its best. Understandably, "stuff" happens. In the event that repairs are necessary, please don't hesitate to contact me or the store where your piece was purchased.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you'll check back often as I continue to add new pieces.
